Q. Are you a hobby breeder or a business?
A. We are a business. We do have a Seller's Permit
from the State of Wisconsin.
Q. Do you ship your birds?
A. Sorry, we do not.
Q. Are you a pet shop?
A. We are not. We operate the business from our
home. You must e-mail or call us to arrange a time to
see and/or purchase a bird. Or we will deliver your
bird (within a 2 hour distance from us) to a
pre-arranged meeting place (for a gas fee).
Q. How much are your gas fees?
A. Any trip that is over a one hour distance from us
will require a $50.00 gas fee. For trips that are less
than one hour, the gas fee will be determined on a
individual basis.
Q. Do you offer free wing clipping "for life" on the
birds you sell to local residents?
A. We do not. It sounds like a nice thing to do, but if
somewhere down the line a sick bird was brought into
the house for a trim , it would put the rest of the flocks
health in jeopardy. Our birds nails and wings are
trimmed for you before purchase.
Q. Do you DNA test your birds for their gender?
A. We can. If you must be sure of your birds gender we
will have some feathers tested through Avian Biotech.
They charge $24.50 for the test. We will require
$25.00 for this service (to cover postage).
Q. My bird doesn't want to eat the pellets that you said
I should buy, only the seed!
A. This is normal, but easy to fix. Keep a bowl with
fresh pellets in with your bird at all times. Feed the
seed in the morning in a separate bowl, taking the seed
away around mid-day. Then your bird must eat the
pellets when he gets hungry. This is the method we
used when your bird was here.
